Bored with my task in the time the Peace Corps employees in Bangkok, I hatched the idea of ??developing vegetables in a fertile valley to the west banks of the famous Farm on the River Kwai. We bought 25 acres of land, and hired me Khun Damrongsak, a Thai Luther Burbank I won the Siam Intercontinental Hotel, stroll to the farm.

Farm on the River Kwai Is Travel

Farm on the River Kwai  at Damrongsak was truly a great scientist. Would you like a gentleman farmer in the humid tropics, are willing to lose at least 3,000 baht per month for each hectare of vegetables you want to grow. Especially fearless Marcia, my friend, who was an economist stage the Bank of Thailand. She organized the first raft trip Farm on the River Kwai the night in a small bamboo raft with a tent in case it rained. Someone finally suggested that we all offer it to paying tourists.

Hence the other farm was the first eco-tourism. The restaurant food all came from our own and local farms. Lessons from the past. Now on the Farm on the River Kwai are covered with floating resorts and grounded. It is dangerous to hire local people. 3. Do not mix. No racism intended, but it’s hard to blend Asian and Western tourists.
